Walking Again

We walked last Friday, December 18 but did not have a chance to walk this last week. Busy week as I'm sure most of you understand. I hope that we can get to walking again this upcoming week. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is looking forward to a wonderful New Year!

Stratford Inn Cafe

Katelin has been wanting to walk with us and this week it worked out. So instead of trying to get as much walking in as possible, we decided to walk from the plaza up to the new cafe at the Stratford Inn and get coffee/hot chocolate there along with a cinnamon roll for Ella and Katelin. I brought the laptop with me to show Mia how to work on the blog. Hopefully she'll be posting something soon. The weather today, although cold, was so much warmer than it was last week, Ella didn't even wear a jacket.

Slippery Walk

Yesterday Mia and I walked again through downtown. We'd done two loops and were on our third when it started snowing or hailing, not sure which. It was like little pieces of white sand falling from the sky and when it landed on the ground, it was really slick! We finished off our last loop, trying not to slip and fall with the babies and then headed a little way into the park. Next week we're hoping to get in two walks.

Our Start

So a couple months ago Mia and I met up at Mix with Ella and Pepper. When we were done there we decided to go for a little walk through the park. At some point Mia mentioned that she wanted to do the Mt. Ashland Hillclimb http://www.mtashlandrun.com/(something I have been wanting to do as well) and we decided that next year 2010, we would do it together. We've started off slow, but consistent with walking downtown once a week, increasing our distance weekly. We took these pictures when we met up for our first walk.
